We had the amazing opportunity to sit down with 55 million+ streamed hyperpop artist Glitch Gum to hear about his creative process, latest singles, and collaborations with Phoebe Bridgers and 100 gecs.
We chatted about his thought process behind his iconic name, how his song "Never Met!" became unexpectedly viral overnight, his pop-punk musical influences, and his new album "Life After the Demise of Planet Gumball." He also was kind enough to give us helpful advice into how he uses the music program, Logic, in addition to how he achieves his uniquely glitchy, hyperpop sound.
Towards the end of the event, he left us with the important takeaway of prioritizing the quality and sound of your projects over profit and virality.
