Congratulations to everyone at 90.3 The Core who submitted, was nominated, and won awards at the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Awards! Shoutout to Mindy, Charlie, and Steve for their wins & the folks behind the 90.3 Instagram and Mike Wollman for their nominations.
March 1st marked the start of the 82nd Annual Conference hosted by IBS. Every year, numerous high school and college radio stations gather in New York City to attend sessions on best promotional practices, women in media, radio industry panels, and more. This year, the conference was held remotely and came to a close with the awards ceremony on Saturday, March 5th.
The Core had the following nominations & wins:
- Best Use of Social Media: 90.3 The Core Instagram - Sophie, Minhee, anyone who's contributed!
- Best Use of Sound Effects: Spooky Sounds Coffee House - Mindy & Charlie (Win!)
- Best Community Volunteer Program/Personality: Mike Wollman
- Tom Gibson Award for Outstanding Engineering - College: Stephen Yanick (Win!)
