Album Review: Wu-Tang - Return of the Wu and Friends
by Afriyie "Free" Amankwaa

Ok, I know why you’re all reading this. You saw the name Wu – Tang and got excited that they may just hit us hip hop fans with another classic. Don’t get gassed. Return of the Wu & Friends is just a mix of remixes and unreleased tracks from The W and other albums/freestyles from 2000 – 2008. It would’ve been dope to hear some remixes to classic Wu - Tang joints on 36 Chambers, right?

Compiled by DJ Mathematics, Return of the Wu seems to pay more homage to the legendary MCs. Tracks such as, “Clap 2010,” and “It’s What It Is” are bangers that make you reminisce over the early 90s when hip hop was at its peak. This made me wonder as a well known hip hop fan whether or not Mathematics just created this teaser to make us feel nostalgic.

But, whatever. It’s the Wu-Tang Clan, can’t go wrong with that.
